Developed by Presence Switzerland in collaboration with partners including the University of Zurich (UZH) Blockchain Center and the Game Technology Center (GTC) at ETH, the Virtual Swiss Pavilion enables a new experience for people who have and have not been to the Swiss Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 Kansai Japan. This is because the Virtual Swiss Pavilion is home to immersive 3D environments that replicate key Swiss locations.

Discover a Swiss Knowledge Hub, presented in the digital twin of the University of Zurich main building;
Immerse yourself in upcoming events with Nobel Laureates in the historic Aula where Winston Churchill spoke;
Explore a miniature Switzerland showcasing the nation’s leading centers of science and innovation such as the CERN, High Altitude Research Station at Jungfraujoch, Albert Einstein Haus in Bern, EPFL and many others.

One of the highlights of the Virtual Pavilion is the Metaverse reconstruction of UZH’s Aula Room, an iconic lecture hall where Winston Churchill gave his visionary speech “Let Europe arise!”, advocating for the unification of European countries after the end of the Second World War. Visitors can join live academic events and engage in Q&As with experts, such as the Nobel Talks. Through this gamified approach, the platform educates audiences about Switzerland in a fun way.
