Decentralized Future: Protocols, DeSci, and Network Societies

Web3 at the Swiss-Japanese Frontier

Discover frontier trends in Web3 with founders, investors, and builders, spanning Blockchain protocols, decentralized science, and network societies.

Rooted in cultural exchange between Japan and Switzerland, this gathering spotlights real-world use cases, research breakthroughs, and community-led innovation. Join an additional guided tour of the Swiss Pavilion, with Art Curators and Architects, to connect insights and network across ecosystems, and uncover collaborative opportunities at the intersection of technological innovation and culture.

Outline

The afternoon program consists of five concise talks, two focused panels, and a guided tour of the Swiss Pavilion.

We begin with the discussion on protocols of blockchain technology and the trend towards Web3, a more inclusive and decentralized view. Specifically, we discuss about privacy and scalability, introducing zero-knowledge methods as a practical way to prove facts without exposing personal data.

We then connect these ideas to the real-world application —touching on neuroscience and intelligent buildings as contexts where digital systems meet everyday life.

We close with governance and coordination: how communities make decisions and how networked communities shape future togetherness and organizations — anchored in a Japan–Switzerland dialogue.

Voices span founders, investors, engineers, researchers, and community stewards from Intmax, the Ethereum Foundation, ETH Zurich, Merito Network, Zujapan, uCat, and Inversed—people building infrastructure and decentralized applications with real-world implications.
