Swissnex Window #5: Synthetic Interactions

Swiss Design × AI & Robotics

Swissnex in Japan, in collaboration with SUPSI, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, presents Synthetic Interactions, an exhibition exploring the relationship between technology and photography through interaction design.

AI-powered systems constantly analyze and classify images—but can they truly “see”? This exhibition features two interactive installations by emerging designers who challenge how artificial intelligence interprets images, exposing the biases hidden in machine vision. Their works invite visitors to question how technology shapes our perception of reality in the digital age.

Developed within the MA in Interaction Design at SUPSI, these projects experiment with AI, metadata, and site-specific experience design to redefine photography beyond the human gaze. The exhibition also features GO2+ by Curling Computer Club, offering a deeper dive into the intersection of interaction design and technology.

Supported by Presence Switzerland and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), the exhibition invites visitors to explore the evolving role of interaction design in shaping our digital world.

We invite you to book a visit on your preferred date and come explore the exhibition.
