Collaborative Pathways to Decarbonization: Exploring Innovative Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future
On September 10-11, held simultaneously at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and Swissnex in Japan (Osaka, Japan), the first-ever Swiss-Japan Energy Days 2024, co-organized by the Consulate of Switzerland in Osaka / Swissnex in Japan and the Energy Science Center of ETH Zurich, will bring together experts to address critical challenges in the Swiss and Japanese energy sectors, focusing on innovative energy solutions.
Switzerland and Japan face pressing energy and climate challenges. With an anticipated rise in electricity consumption due to electrification and both nations’ reliance on energy imports, strategic realignment towards decarbonization is essential to meet the 2050 net zero emissions target. The first-ever Swiss-Japan Energy Days 2024, co-organized by the Consulate of Switzerland in Osaka / Swissnex in Japan and the Energy Science Center of ETH Zurich, will bring together top academics, startups, industry leaders, and policymakers to address critical challenges in the Swiss and Japanese energy sectors, focusing on innovative solutions for a sustainable future. It will take place simultaneously at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and Swissnex in Japan (Osaka, Japan) on September 10-11.
