For the third episode of its Swiss Vitality Talk, the Embassy of Switzerland and ECAL in collaboration with the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2023 with the support of the Science and Technology Office Tokyo had the pleasure to organize a discussion on the various creative possibilities that arise from automatized computer vision. The talk took place on February 5 in the presence of Clément Lambelet from ECAL and guest speakers Taisuke Koyama, Seiichi Saito and Yukiko Shikata. The event was organized in parallel to Automated Photography Exhibition, a collaboration exhibition held at Maison Franco-Japonaise from February 3-19.

Automated Photography was initiated by the ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne as a project focusing on the relationship between art and technology, as in computer generated imagery (CGI) and other images generated based on machine learning or photogrammetry, and discuss the creative possibilities while outlining critical viewpoints.
